before and after repairs

From Charlie (aged 7)

Dear Dolls Hospital,

Please can you mend my teddy Noel. He was my first teddy and is my favourite and he goes everywhere with me. He has been to lots of exciting places and when we went to America I left him in the hotel and they sent him all the way home to England.

I went on holiday at half term and Noel lost his bow tie and then the hole just got bigger and bigger and his middle started falling out. I love him very much and don't want him to die although my Grandma would look after him in heaven.

Can you mend him by giving him a new bow tie and shirt.

He looks after all my other teddies while I am at school so they will miss him too.

Thank you,

Charlie

repaired and clothed doll

From a satisfied customer from Kent

Hi, just to let you know the [christening] gown arrived safely. It sure was the same beautiful dress I saw at the fair in Kent. I am delighted with it. When I received my AM dreambaby 2 years ago she was dressed in a pretty gown and hat but it is made of cheap net curtain material.

So I began a search for something special. So as you can imagine I was very upset to miss the gown at the fair and never thought I would find another like it. So you have made me a very happy lady.

Opposite is a photo that was sent to us of her doll in the new gown...

Thank you,

Claire

teddy bear with missing leg

From a disgruntled Teddy Bear from Cheshire

Dear Surgeon,

Phew! You've no idea how good it feels to think that I might at last be returned to a state of good health.

My left arm and leg parted company more years ago than I can remember. The way he treated me, it's a miracle there were not more bits went missing. To top it all, after he left home (his home then) for some floosy, his mum and dad put me in a box which they shoved in the loft. As you can imagine, not a lot of fun.

Anyway, years later, his folks separated me from the other loft contents which were destined for the tip. They offered me to him. I was rather touched, he seemed to be pleased to see me. I have a splendid position on his dresser - in the same room as his floosy (I'm not sure if it's the same one!).

I'd be really pleased if you could get me sorted. For the first time ever, I'm beginning to feel appreciated.

Many thanks Doc,
Sincerely,
George
